The QNUK Level 4 Award in Physical Penetration Testing Operations (RQF) is intended for professionals in protective security, cyber security, law enforcement, and corporate security who wish to advance their expertise. This practical course provides the skills needed to conduct effective physical penetration testing in real-world situations. 

Entry Requirements

Due to the sensitive nature of some of the content within this qualification, individuals are required to hold a minimum of one of the following:

  • DBS check is appropriately successful for the sector in which the learner is intending to operate.
  • DBS check in progress. A letter of recommendation is required from a senior member of the individual's organisation. 
  • SC or DV vetting. 
  • BS7858 screened. 

General Requirements:

  • Age: You must be over 18 years of age to enrol on this course.
  • Language Proficiency: A good command of English is required, as all course materials, assessments, and instructions will be delivered in English. You should be able to communicate fluently and understand technical terms used in security operations.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Security Experience: Prior experience in security, facility management, or law enforcement is beneficial but not essential.
  • Relevant Qualifications: A Level 3 qualification in security or related fields, or a background in military or law enforcement, is advantageous.
  • Physical Fitness: Basic physical fitness is required to participate in practical activities.

Meeting these requirements will ensure you are equipped to fully engage with the content and practical elements of this specialised training.

Delivery and Assessment

  • 5-day classroom and external venue-based course, including a requirement for self-study.
  • Assessment is through a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates that the candidate has met the required assessment criteria. Candidates will be expected to apply and show evidence of both theoretical and practical knowledge in their portfolio and during practical scenarios.

  • Duration: 5 Days

The 5-day course has been developed by trainers and operators with backgrounds in specialist protective security, military, and government service. They also have extensive experience in physical penetration testing in the commercial environment.
