The Level 3 Award in Graduated Response Options for Personal Safety (RQF) has been developed by Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) in association with HZL to meet a requirement for a Graduated Response (GRO) to Aggression and Conflict in Permissive, Non-Permissive and High Risk Environments incorporating personal safety for individuals, groups and lone workers.

Entry Requirements

In order to complete this qualification candidates must:

Be a minimum of 18 years of age
Have a minimum of Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy (or equivalent) and must be in employment in a role where there is a requirement for competence in Graduated Response which is supported by other appropriate training.

Delivery and Assessment

3-day course plus an element of self-study

This qualification is assessed through activities which will include observation of practical demonstration, written assignment, question and answer sessions and a written question answer paper.

All learning outcomes must be met to achieve a Pass – there is no grading.

Duration: 0830 - 1630 hours.

Unit 2: The 5 Pillars of Graduated Response (S.P.A.C.E)
Unit 3: The 4 Escalations of Self Protection of Graduated Response.
